Green Haven obtained our first Super Sweet SH2 seed from Restoration Seeds of Oregon in 2016. Super Sweet SH2 corn was originally bred by Kultursaat in Germany. Kultursaat is a non-profit plant breeding organization that contributes to the further development of agrobiodiversity in order to promote biological diversity. Kultursaat started the project in 2003 and Super Sweet SH2 was the result of a crossing of 40 SH2 hybrids. It is the only open pollinated SH2 variety that we know about from which you can save seed and will reliably reproduce.
