Rouge vifd’Etampes

This Beautiful variety is a French heirloom. Most fruits develop a vivid red hue that is uncommon among any other variety. They’re shaped like Cinderella’s coach, and seem as if they jumped right out of the fairytale. They come in many sizes, but the average is between 15-20lbs. Their deep orange flesh makes great pies and quick breads once strained and blended. They are also used commonly as a soup tureen.
